Of course not. The same thinking applies to your website. A professional site architect will research and map out how visitors will navigate your website in order to give them what they want in as few clicks as possible. We are usability experts who take our process seriously. That’s why the sites we create are so easy to use.
Step 1: Estimate Creation
Since every website project is unique you'll work with our project coordinator to determine the scope of your project in order to provide you with an accurate estimate. Once established, your project cost doesn't change unless the project scope changes. Upon your acceptance of the proposal we will forward you an invoice for the first 1/3 of the project total and a contract for you to sign.
Step 2: Site Planning
Our web professionals will get to know your target audience. What interests them most? What are they coming to your site to do? What makes them tick? And how do we leverage this info to make your website a success. The goal is to develop a solid plan focused on creating a website with sensible navigation that lets visitors know they’re in the right place and you have what they want.
Step 3: WireFrames
People will come to your website for a number of reasons. Some want to make a purchase, some are just researching and others may be looking for customer service. With black and white mock-ups of your web pages called “wireframes”, we work out how to get visitors in each scenario to what they need in as few clicks as possible. Page elements are placed in the most appropriate, user-friendly locations to help visitors quickly and easily find what they’re looking for.
Step 4: Web Design Comps
We then create design comps to enhance your message and strengthen brand awareness. Typically, 2 designs are presented in rough form to establish an overall direction. Up to 3 rounds of revisions are offered to move the selected design to finished form. Once the design of the home page has been approved, it will then be applied to the remaining pages using client supplied text and images.
Step 5: Coding and Testing
Your new website design is then translated into high-quality cross-browser compatible code. We then move on to testing each function contained within your site, revising and tweaking things until we’ve got all the bugs worked out and everything is working properly. Once initial testing has been completed, we will provide you with a link to view your new website so you can make comments and supply feedback.
Site Launch and Marketing
If you build it they will come... right? Wrong. It’s not realistic to think your new website will be successful without promoting it. Once it’s been launched, you’ll want to turn your attention to getting people there. What can you do to promote it? A lot! We can help ease the transition from finishing your website to generating revenue with targeted email campaigns, direct mail, strategic online advertising, print ads, site maintenance and consulting.
